Weberstown Mall is open for walking and exercise 8-11 Mon-Thurs, 8-10 Fri & Sat, and 9-11 Sun.  Enter at Dillard's Court.

SECURITY ASKS THAT ALL PARTICIPANTS WEAR GREEN ID VISIBLY.

Please get vaccinated.  Continuing to  practice social distancing will help to keep us ALL safe and healthy.

Holiday & vacation schedules vary.  Volunteer leaders set their own programs.  Times & availability may vary.

  1. When do malls open for the walkers? I would like to start walking with this group but the website and Facebook pages do not identify the actual location for walkers to meet. Aerobics meets near Dillards but where for the walkers? Thanks.

    1. At Weberstown door at Dillard’s opens at about 8 am. At Sherwood Food Court doors open about 6:30 am. Walkers do not meet, they just walk. Sometimes a few friends come together and walk together. Often folks just find someone walking at a comfortable pace and join in. Some walkers bring music and walk with earphones. Some chat as they walk. New walkers will need to introduce themselves to others and may take several walks before they “fall in” with others whose company they enjoy. Many walkers use the aerobics class as a warm-up and walk from there — or warm up with a walk before finishing with line dance. Weberstown waiver forms are available at the downstairs mall office. Sign up for text or e-mail notices in front of Dillards. There is a “flow” of traffic around the mall, but you’re welcome to walk against that traffic. That way you’ll see lots of walkers, without needing to “catch up” to anyone. Hope to see you at the mall soon.

  2. My husband and myself babysit our 2 year old grandson are we able to take him with us to walk he would be in a stroller

    1. Yes. We have walkers with strollers. Some participate in our classes, with one eye on the stroller. We even have some well-behaved youngsters who bring along some coloring while moms work out, or even try a few moves with us. We try to keep mall walking is very low key and adaptable to your needs.

    1. Because group leaders are volunteers, the schedule varies from what’s published from time to time, but I do try to update the online version when I learn of changes.

      Walkers come independently and walk. Some walk and chat in small groups. Some stride along never looking to either side. Some join groups for dancing, tai chi, etc. and some don’t.

      I always recommend that you stop in – between 8 and 10 am, any week day — stroll around and try anything that looks interesting.
