WELCOME TO STOCKTON MALL WALKERS CLEARING HOUSE

Walking-Line Dance-Aerobics-Taiji

Mall Walking began at Weberstown on May 30, 1997, and walkers and others also enjoyed an informal mall walk program at Sherwood Mall even before that.

Shut down by the pandemic, both Malls again opened their doors early for walking, aerobics, line dance, and a variety of tai chi programs in after stay-at-home orders were lifted.

CURRENTLY:

  • Weberstown Mall walking hours are 8-11 Mon-Thurs, 8-10 Fri & Sat, and 9-11 Sun.

  • Participants can enter ONLY at the door next to Dillard's.  (contact us if you have a special need to enter elsewhere)

Covid is still with us!  Please practice social distancing.  Please wear a mask if you are not vaccinated, or want extra protection.

Exercise leaders are volunteers, so programs are subject to change.  Check the schedule page for a more-or-less up-to-date description of exercise programs that are currently going on.

Participants are responsible for their own safety and the security of any possessions they bring with them to the Malls.  All are requested to respect and follow Mall rules and directions from Mall security personnel.  Security are always available to help: 1-209-477-8810.  Please leave policing and door openings strictly to security personnel.

Escape from heat, cold and rain outside, to enjoy window-shopping inside, while you stroll or stride the 1/2 mile circuit around the interior of the Mall.  Bring a friend or make a friend.  People of all ages are welcome.  We recommend comfortable, supportive shoes, and it’s a good idea to bring drinking water.  Seating, restrooms and a drinking
fountain are available.  Strollers are fine.

Whatever exercise you undertake, take care of yourself!  Work at a level that's comfortable for you.  Wear supportive shoes and stay hydrated.  Also recommended:  consult with your physician or other health care provider before under-taking any new exercise program, or in the event that you experience any pain, shortness of breath or other discomfort while engaging in any exercise.
